Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Edgemap ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including free tier, paid subscribers, and lifetime license holders.

2. Description of Service

Edgemap is a trading journal and analytics platform that allows users to import trade histories, track performance metrics, and receive AI-generated coaching insights. The Service is intended for prop firm traders and other trading professionals who wish to analyze and improve their trading performance through data.

The Service includes:

• Trade import via CSV from supported brokers and prop firms
• Performance analytics including P&L, win rate, R-multiple, and behavioral pattern detection
• AI-generated coaching narratives powered by Anthropic's Claude API
• Journal functionality including notes, trade tagging, and session analysis

3. AI Coaching Disclaimer

Edgemap uses artificial intelligence (specifically Anthropic's Claude API) to generate coaching content, pattern analysis, trade debriefs, and weekly reports. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content is produced algorithmically and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or incomplete analysis
• AI coaching outputs are educational observations based on your trade data, not professional financial advice
• Edgemap makes no warranty that AI coaching will improve your trading performance or prevent losses
• You should not make trading decisions based solely on AI-generated insights from this platform
• AI outputs are cached and may not reflect real-time market conditions
• The AI has no knowledge of your financial situation, risk tolerance, or investment objectives

By using the AI coaching features, you explicitly acknowledge that Edgemap is not a registered investment adviser and that AI coaching does not constitute a fiduciary relationship.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using Edgemap, you represent that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction to enter into binding contracts.

5. Account Registration

You may register using email/password or Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information during registration. Edgemap reserves the right to terminate accounts that contain false information or violate these terms.

6. Subscription Tiers and Billing

Edgemap offers the following access tiers:

• Free: Access to core journaling and analytics features with limitations on accounts and trade history
• Pro: Full analytics, multiple accounts, and AI coaching features billed monthly
• Elite: All Pro features plus unlimited accounts and priority AI processing
• Lifetime: One-time purchase granting permanent access at the tier level at time of purchase

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Edgemap does not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law. Pricing is subject to change with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

7. Your Data

You retain ownership of all trade data you import into Edgemap. By using the Service, you grant Edgemap a limited license to store, process, and analyze your data solely to provide the Service to you. We do not sell your trade data to third parties. You are responsible for ensuring that any trade data you import does not violate your prop firm's terms of service or any applicable non-disclosure agreements.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or reproduce any part of the platform
• Share account credentials or allow multiple individuals to use a single account
• Use automated tools to scrape, extract, or systematically access the Service
• Attempt to circumvent subscription tier limitations
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent trade data

9. Intellectual Property

Edgemap and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the Service operator and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without express written permission.

10. Third-Party Services

Edgemap integrates with third-party services including:

• Anthropic Claude API — for AI coaching generation. Your trade data (aggregated and anonymized) may be sent to Anthropic's API to generate coaching content. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to data processed through their API.
• Supabase — for database and authentication services
• Stripe — for payment processing. Edgemap does not store payment card information.
• Resend — for email delivery including weekly coaching reports
• Google OAuth — for authentication. Google's terms apply to OAuth-based sign-in.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. EDGEMAP MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EDGEMAP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, TRADING LOSSES, OR DATA LOSS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Edgemap's total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the three months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Edgemap and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your trading activity.

13. Termination

Edgemap may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. You may request an export of your trade data within 30 days of account termination.

14. Changes to Terms

Edgemap reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Edgemap operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law.
